INDEPENDENT FISHERIES COOL STORE – TECHNOLOGY INSTALLATION 2018 – 2019
Engaged from a referral I was tasked to manage the design and support delivery of CCTV and Access Control to the new Independent Fisheries Cool Store. At the time of engagement, the build was underway at the helm of Apollo Projects. We prioritised the in-groundwork to coincide with the established construction schedule so as not to create a delay. This provided sufficient time to work through a request for tender process with three primary Christchurch suppliers.
Once the seller was confirmed we dove into detailed design quickly to establish the budget and integration points with the construction project. It was at this stage the seller was placed under the management of Apollo Projects in order to safely manage daily site works.
We approached the configuration of Access Control and CCTV with an iterative approach, allowing the business and users to experience functionality while working out the ideal configuration. Having not operated their business with either of these technologies it took a few weeks for them to settle in and we accommodated that period by providing support and regular communication.
Special thanks: Angela Tawaka (formally Millpond Ltd), Peter Anderson (Apollo Projects), Mark Allison (Independent Fisheries), Don Clark, (Independent Fisheries), Sean Slatam (Independent Fisheries) and Jack Foley (M&H Communications)
