The purchase of a new corporate office saw Independent Fisheries return to its roots in Lyttelton requiring electrical and technology installation to support a new internal fitout.

The building was purchased December 2018, a freshly completed new build with the ability of multi-use. The scope required working with the business owners, subject matter experts and company builder to establish and deliver updated electrical and data supplies, server rack, CCTV and Access Control.

A quality builder and practical mindset from the business on this project offered a streamlined project. Electrical, data and server designs were established and approved, we were fortunate that the work coincided with the Cool Store build and trades that were awarded that project were extended into this project. Procurement, relationships, and stakeholder management were relatively simple activities.

The CCTV and Access Control deliverables were expanded on the Cool Store design to allow management view of both sites from their devices (desktop, dashboard or mobile).

Changes were managed via weekly site meetings with the General Manager, builder and relevant trades. These were tracked, approved and documented with great ease to the GM.

We adjusted our technology trades around the builders schedule and the building was delivered on time and budget.
